NSK has combined its exclusive SHX bearing steel, and ceramic rolling elements to produce ultra high-speed hybrid angular contact bearings that can operate reliably at speeds up to 3.3 x 106 dmn (47,100rpm for a 70mm bore bearing). The synergy achieved between the materials in the bearings also enables theROBUST hybrid series to offer the user the benefits of lower heat generation, high seizure resistance, better temperature stability, and greater stability during high-speed operation.
